Bowel problems and travel
Most people experience disturbance of their bowels when they travel, usually related to a change in diet or water, jet lag, a change of climate, or stress. Bacterial or viral infection, parasites (for instance, a single-celled protozoan called Giardia lamblia) and food poisoning often cause acute diarrhoea.
