Donor insemination

Using sperm from another man has been a solution to male infertility for many couples, although less so since the arrival of ICSI. But it's still the only way that some couples can conceive. Some men feel comfortable with the idea but others hate it, so it's important to explore how you and your partner really feel about this option.

Some couples decide to use their own donor but the advantage of going to a clinic is that donors are carefully screened to reduce the risk of disease and the risk of inherited diseases being passed on. The success rate is around one in ten.
