Riding the Blue September ocean wave
It's Blue Friday, halfway through Blue September. So how is this new national campaign to encourage men to face up to cancer going?
'We've been amazed by the the response,' said MHF CEO Peter Baker. 'From small local events to big national ones, so many people are painting their faces blue in support of the campaign that it's like an episode of the Smurfs.'
In the navy, the staff at HMS Temeraire have been painting their faces blue, Navy News reports, 'but sailors on deployment can’t do likewise (rather goes against Queen’s Regulations), so the next best thing is to wear something blue (although from the evidence of this photo, right, some did struggle with that rather simple concept).'
Strange blue sightings have also been recently reported at Crystal Palace FC, Oldham Athletic FC,Huddersfield Giants rugby league team and Bayer.
