Good question but not the full answer
This book disappeared immediately on arrival in our flat, only to turn up on my girlfriend’s bedside table, its well-creased and bookmarked pages discreetly hidden beneath a magazine. Yes, truth is that this is a question to which many of us would love to know the answer but one which social pressures, personal needs and our dreams of romantic love make almost impossible to ask.
Apparently, this is a revised edition of the book and the publishers say over 100,000 copies have already been sold. Not for Valetine’s pressies, I shouldn’t think. I wonder how many of them have been more than thumbed through? After all, if you can read this in bed without your partner even noticing then you have got a problem.
For me the tone is a bit too American self-helpy and most of the suggestions will be familiar to anyone who has ever read about or discussed sex and relationships issues. I’m glad the question is being asked but personally I’d love to read an honest male answer to it. (And hide it on my bedside table.)
