Taking no exercise is as bad for you as a packet of fags a day
Research suggests that only one-third of adult men are moderately active on a regular basis and just one in ten are vigorously active.
The lifestyle of a couch potato creates as big a risk of heart disease as smoking a pack of cigarettes every day. Being inactive has also been linked to a higher risk of stroke, diabetes, colon cancer, osteoporosis, anxiety, depression, memory loss and low self-esteem.
Exercise is a cheap and reliable health benefit which, if it were a drug, would almost certainly be in far greater demand than Viagra. Fortunately, however, it's never to late to begin exercising - and you don't have to buy a jock-strap. This section will show you how to improve your stamina, strength and suppleness in the comfort of your own home. Use the links below, on the right and on the drop down menu above.
