I used to suffer from acne from the age of 14 all the way up to 21, when I was 18 I became really aware of how I looked so I started on various skin/acne products. take my advise none of them work unless you only have a mild case of acne. Even prescribed drugs from my GP i.e. antibiotics topical treatments etc didn't work in anyway. eventually I asked to be referred to a private specialist dermatologist, he instantly prescribed me a drug that at first I was a bit unsure of taking due to the many stories and rumours around it. I started straight away on a 4 month course of roaccutane, it did come with certain side effects like dry skin, chapped lips, muscle aches, but within 2 months the spots went and after the treatment my skin has been absolutely brilliant, I would definitely advise anyone suffering from acne to consider this drug, it was the only thing that worked for me (and I tried everything)
