Men's health is not as good as it should be; malehealth is part of the treatment. This site is run by the Men's Health Forum, the UK's leading independent voluntary organisation working to improve men's health and health provision. The Forum also runs its own site, the Men's Health Forum for all healthcare professionals interested in this growing field. The malehealth site is targeted at the general reader and as such should not be seen as reflecting MHF policy. The MHF does not give health advice to individuals; it makes policy recommendations to organisations. The malehealth site is edited by Jim Pollard, a journalist, editor and writer with a particular interest in men's health. His work has appeared in broadsheet and tabloid newspapers, men's and women's magazines and for organisations and publishers from the Readers' Digest to the Health Development Agency and other voluntary organisation and websites. He is author of seven books including the acclaimed All Right, Mate? An Easy Intro to Men's Health. The CEO of the Men's Health Forum is Peter Baker, a leading advocate for men's health as well as a journalist, writer and former editor of this site. Former secretary of the Guild of Health Writers, health editor of Maxim magazine from 1995-1999 and co-author of Dr Ian Banks provides key specialist support to the site. Dr Banks is a GP, president of The Men's Health Forum, the British Medical Association's spokesperson on men's health and author of the acclaimed series of health manuals published with Haynes including the best-selling Man Manual. He is also author of More about books by Jim Pollard, Peter Baker and Ian Banks and the opportunity to buy them at the malehealth bookshop. The information provided by the publishers of this site has been written by specialist health writers and checked for accuracy by qualified medical advisers.
