Key info for men aged 50 plus

Men are living longer and longer. (Still not as long as women but you can't have everything.) 

Fifty years ago, few men lived much beyond their retirement. Now the average 50 year-old can look forward to 25 or more years of life. Its important to make sure you're healthy enough to enjoy them.

  • If you're over 60 you should know about the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening programme which aims to reduce death from the UK's second most deadly cancer. If you're over 70 you can request your own testing kit. More information here.
